GEORGE TOWN – Resembling a dove in his white shirt, Gerakan president Datuk Dominic Lau arrived at the nomination centre in Bayan Lepas to enthusiastic cheers and the Perikatan Nasional (PN) anthem.

However, noticeably absent were PAS supporters, who were not present to cheer on Lau.

Earlier, the scene was vibrant as former Bayan Lepas assemblyman Azrul Mahathir Aziz arrived at the nomination centre. He was met with a warm welcome from hundreds of Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN) supporters, making for an eventful and energetic start to the nomination process.

The atmosphere was charged with excitement as political leaders and their supporters gathered to mark the beginning of an intense electoral contest in Bayan Lepas.

The battle for this state seat is set to be closely watched by voters and political enthusiasts alike as it is expected to set the tone for Gerakan’s campaign. – The Vibes, July 29, 2023
